  1. This is the first New DEEL comment. We will have our 3rd Annual Conference February 26th-28th, 2009!

  2. I am really excited about your new blog. I’m hoping that the ideas created by the New Deel organization will have the capacity to change the way students are educated in the US.

  3. Thanks for the good wishes. We expect to make a good step ahead at our 3rd Annual Conference

  4. I, too, am very excited about the blog. Hopefully, before, during and after the New DEEL Conference, comments, suggestions and wonderful ideas for the future will flow.

    See you soon in Philly!

  5. I am looking forward to the Conference to meet other educators who are working in their classrooms with students on the ideas that joan, stephen an jackie write about in their books. I am also looking forward to talking about using film a medium for disucssing the ethical paradigms of edldr. I hope to meet some colleagues with whom I could collaborate with on research or other projects.

It was a fascinating conference. It seemed to me that the whole thing was like a wheel. The inner hub was symbolic of our individual programs and the outer rim was like the whole community. Each keynote and breakout presentation served as a spoke connecting what we do individually with who we are a community. It really was beautiful to watch it unfold.
